The budget of director Shankar’s upcoming film, 2.0 produced by Lyca Productions is around Rs 350 crores. Lyca Productions, who confirmed the news, also added that Amy Jackson is the only heroine in the movie, putting rest to the rumours about the team looking for another heroine.

The film’s budget has surpassed that of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali : The Begining, which was made on a budget of Rs 250 crores. The first schedule of 2.0 is currently underway and sources say that Shankar has planned a month schedule in Chennai.

When asked about Arnold Schwarzeneggar’s inclusion, they said, ” We had a couple of meetings with Arnold Schwarzeneggar, but, the contract process was so tedious. We found so many differences between an Indian and Hollywood contract. That’s when decided to rope in Akshay Kumar for the role. We are currently co-producing Ikka with AR Murugadoss. The film which stars Akshay Kumar is directed by AR Murugadoss’s associate Jagan.”

Meanwhile, a group of people have announced that they would be protesting in front of the sets of 2.0, against Amy Jackson who has spoken against Tamil Nadu’s controversial Jallikattu festival. They have also put forth a request for terminating Amy’s 2.0‘s contract.
