Abhishek Bachchan will be the chief guest at the 17th Gollapudi Srinivas National Award function. The event will be held on August 11 at the Music Academy and will see Chetan Bhagat, Madhavan, Mahesh Manjrekar and Bombay Jayashri as the guests of honour. Chetan Bhagat will present the memorial lecture at the event while Bombay Jayashree, Rajiv Menon and Karthik will showcase their latest collaboration – a tribute to south Indian film music, titled The Scent of Vinyl.
This year, the memorial award will be given to Gyan Correa, the director of the critically acclaimed Gujarati film The Good Road. The award comes with a cash award of Rs 1,50,000.
Uttama Villain director Ramesh Arvind, and actress Pooja Kumar will host the event.
