As part of a tribute show to commemorate MR Radha’s 108th birthday, actor Aari will be seen playing a modern-day version of the legendary actor. The play is written by Krishna, the director of Aari’s Nedunchaalai. In an interview to TOI, Aari commented that the team chose him due to his theatre experience. The actor also added that he was lucky to have been given the opportunity to play MR Radha and that his performance will not be a direct ‘imitation’.
“The play will be a comedy entertainer – a satire on present day society and cinema,” said Aari . The play is directed by Narayan Nagendra Rao. It has also been reported that Radhika and Sarathkumar might also act in another play in this tribute show. Organised by Radhika Sarathkumar, the show will take place in Chennai on July 31.
