In the statement, the actor mentioned that he had thrown a party on Friday on the occasion of Arul Vincent, the cinematographer who is working with him in his upcoming film FIR. There was a small “get-together” at the actor’s place in Kotturpuram area in Chennai and guests were served alcohol “just like how any party has alcohol served”.
The actor said his neighbours had been accusing him of disturbing them due to his schedule revolving around early mornings and late nights.
He stated that after the police was called, he was polite but lost his calm after the landlord hurled abuses and called him a drunkard.
“The owner had no answers and he left using an abusive word and just like any human being I am bound to respond to that and I used some words back. Police knew I was not wrong so they left,” the tweet read.
