Aditya Roy Kapoor, who is currently promoting OK Jaanu, says nothing hurts as much as a film that hasn’t done well. OK Jaanu is scheduled to release on 13 January and has Kapoor sharing screen space with his Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor. The duo’s chemistry played a large role in ensuring that Aashiqui 2 was a blockbuster.

31-year-old Kapoor ended 2016 on a low note as Fitoor, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, did not set the cash registers ringing. The film was also slammed by critics. In an interview with the Bombay Times, the actor opened up about how he felt when the movie failed at the box-office. “Last year was full of ups and downs. When ‘Fitoor’ didn’t work, it affected me a lot. It hurts when a film doesn’t do well. Fortunately, I started shooting for ‘OK Jaanu’ within a month and that helped. There’s nothing like work to take your mind off setbacks, ” he said.
When asked about the camaraderie he shares with Rock On 2 star Shraddha Kapoor, he said, “Sometimes, you go for dinner with a friend and things get blown out of proportion — that’s ridiculous. It’s like you can’t go to a friend’s house without being linked to her.”
Kapoor’s bachelor status has kept rumour mills busy. “Am I single? Let’s just say, I am chilling,” the actor quipped.
