Actor Aamir Khan will start filming for director Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thug soon after the release of his biographical sports drama, Dangal, said an ANI report. Khan’s role in Thug would be a lighter one, on the lines of his Rangeela character, the report says. The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films.
According to a DNA report, Amitabh Bachchan might be Aamir’s co-star in Thug. Interestingly, Aamir and Abhishek Bachchan had acted together in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Dhoom 3.

Earlier, Hrithik Roshan was offered the lead role in Thug. However, the actor did not take it up owing to differences in opinion regarding the film’s script. Reportedly, Aamir gave his nod to a revised version of the script.

In Dangal, which narrates the real story of amateur wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his three daughters, the 51-year-old Khan will be seen playing a father to teenage girls. The film is expected to release in theatres in December, 2016.
