Kalidas Jayaram, whose role as an art-loving teenager in last week’s release Poomaram was well-appreciated by the audience and critics, is now teaming up with Premam director Alphonse Putharen for a Tamil movie.
Confirming reports of his new film, the actor said, “…it has an interesting storyline. I am a fan of Alphonse chettan’s films and feel lucky to be part of his movie.”
Kalidas, who had made his debut in Tamil with the 2016 film Meemkuzhambum Mannpanayum, is also awaiting the release of his Oru Pakka Kathai, written and directed by Balaji Tharaneethran of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame.
This Tamil film will be Alphonse Putharen’s next after Premam, which had released in 2015 to critical acclaim. He is also bankrolling the upcoming Malayalam comedy Thobama.
