Earlier this morning, Aamir Khan took to Twitter to announce how a mere conversation with his contemporary Akshay Kumar and producer Sajid Nadiadwala led to the postponement in the release date of Akshay’s next film Bachchan Pandey. Helmed by Farhad Samji, the film will now hit the screens on 22 January 2011. Aamir had requested the postponement as his film Laal Singh Chaddha was also hitting the screens on the same date as Bachchan Pandey, Christmas 2020.
Bachchan Pandey will see Akshay Kumar romancing Kriti Sanon. Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the film under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Akshay took to Twitter to release his look from the film.

Although the poster did the rounds, the announcement didn’t go down well with his fans on Twitter. They were also concerned about his other releases for the year.

Following this, Akshay Kumar also announced that the release of his Bell Bottom has also been postponed to 2nd April 2021 and that he wouldn’t be clashing with himself on 22 January. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, the film is being jointly bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under their Pooja Entertainment banner and by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani under their Emmay Entertainment banner.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the Indian adaptation of Robert Zemeckis’ iconic Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field. Aamir Khan plays the role of a Punjabi with Kareena Kapoor playing the female lead.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, whose last outing Good Newwz is faring well at the box office, will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s Prithviraj, and Raghava Lawrence‘s Laxmmi Bomb.
