Akshaye Khanna is now a part of Sridevi’s upcoming drama-thriller Mom. According to a press statement, Akshaye said that he considers the film a milestone in his career thus far.
“It’s a milestone in my career to be able to work with Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the finest actors we have today. It is a gem of a script and it was an honour to shoot with a gem of a cast and crew,” he said.
Akshaye was last seen playing ‘Wagah’ in the John Abraham-Varun Dhawan starrer Dishoom from last year. Producer Boney Kapoor feels Mom would be the actor’s “real comeback in films”.

“He is playing an important role and has done complete justice to it. It’s going to be his career’s finest performance,” said Kapoor.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain, Mom also has Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali, and Adnan Siddiqui, with music by AR Rahman.
Pegged as a woman-centric film, it is slated to release on July 7 in four languages.
