Ameer Sultan and Chandini Tamizharasan will be seen in lead roles in MGR Pandiyan. Directed by Adham Bhava, the film is a political satire with veteran actors like Anandaraj, Ponvannan, Kanja Karuppu, Iman Annachi, along with Maganathi Shanker, Raj Kapoor, Kasali, Raja Simman, Bava Lakshmanan, Sampath Ram, Vincent Roy, Sevvalai, Sujatha, Jeevitha, Saravana Sakthi in pivotal roles.

Speaking to Silverscreen, Ameer said that the film’s script takes a unique look at the political developments in Tamil Nadu right now. “One party is split into two, while two leading actors are looking to make their political entry. These are all significant events in Tamil Nadu, and our film will have an unique perspective on all of this. It is a mirror to what is happening in the state right now, and is very relevant to the times we live in.”
The title is not just meant to grab eyeballs, Ameer said. “It also has a connect to the film’s plotline. The title is not meant for promotional purposes only.”
At present, the actor is working on his Santhanadevan with Arya.
Vidyasagar composes the music while Vairamuth and Pa Vijay take care of the lyrics. Kalyan, Dhina and Dinesh are the choreographers, while Devaraj handles the cinematography.
