Actress Amy Jackson will sing, rap, and act in a music video for Manj Musik, former lead vocalist of the UK pop band, RDB (Rhythm, Dhol, Bass). Manj had composed two songs, ‘Singh And Kaur’ and ‘Maahi Aaja’ for Prabhu Deva’s Singh Is Blinng, which starred Amy Jackson. The music video has largely been filmed in the UK. A few portions will be shot in India next month.
The idea of featuring Amy Jackson in his music video came to Manj when he heard the actress hum the song while shooting in the UK in July. “She was rapping and humming Manj’s songs and generally having a blast. That’s when he sprung the offer and hours later, the actress-composer duo was at a studio in London recording Amy’s singing debut,” a source told Times Of India.

The actress is currently shooting for director Vijay’s trilingual Abhinethri, titled Devi in Tamil. Her next Hindi film is Sohail Khan’s Ali, which releases in September. In a recent interview, Amy Jackson had said that the story is along the lines of Tom Cruise and Rene Zellweger’s Jerry Maguire. She also plays a supporting role in Arjun Kapoor’s and Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend. After this, she will be working on a couple of British films.
