Composer Anirudh, on Sunday evening, stated that he was in no way connected to the controversial ‘Beep Song’. He posted this statement on his Twitter page yesterday :
This came as a shocker, as Simbu had clearly stated in his statements to media houses that the song was recorded during a private jamming session with Anirudh. It must also be noted that, when questioned about the issue during a media interaction, actor Dhanush had said that he strongly believed that the song was not composed by Anirudh, and Anirudh’s statement reflected the same.

Amidst this confusion, Simbu’s father T Rajendar lodged a complaint with the Chennai City Police Commissioner to nab the culprit who leaked the song in a bid to ‘defame’ his son. In his complaint he has stated that the track was composed by Simbu and Anirudh with no intention to use it in any film or album, and was not released officially by either of the duo. He has added that the cuss words in the song were added by someone else, as those interpolated words were not used by Simbu or the Anirudh at the time of composing the said music.
Both statements being contradicting in nature, we await further developments on the same. Meanwhile, actor Y Gee Mahendran, who is also related to Anirudh has given out this statement condemning the song.
