Sharing the link to the video, Anirudh wrote, “Happy to release the trailer of @atharvaamurali’s #ThalliPogathey, starring @anupamahere and my dear buddy @amitashpradhan Produced & Directed by @Dir_kannanR”

The two-minute clip opens with a voice over of Atharvaa saying ‘What is love?’ It then goes on to show Atharvaa showing up at Anupama’s doorstep followed by a peek into their past relationship.

The name of the title has been taken from the hit song Thalli Pogathey, sung by Sid Sriram from the 2016 movie Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film is the Tamil remake of the hit 2017 Telugu movie Ninnu Kori, starring NaniNivetha Thomas Aadhi Pinisetty.

Ninnu Kori, which will also be remade in Marathi, is a story about Pallavi (Nivetha Thomas) who invites her ex-boyfriend Uma (Nani) to stay with her and her husband Arun (Aadhi) to prove that she is happy in her married life.

This will be Atharvaa’s second collaboration with Kannan, after Boomerang in 2019. Atharvaa was last seen in the Telugu film Gaddalakonda Ganesh, last year. He is also working on films including Kuruthi AattamOthaikku Othai, and Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu. Anupama, who made her debut in the hit Malayalam film Premam, was last seen in the Malayalam film Maniyarayile Ashokan directed by Shamzu Zayba and produced by Dulquer Salmaan. The movie premiered on Netflix recently.
