Director Aashiq Abu announced his next film Naradhan on Instagram on Sunday and unveiled the poster of the film.
The film will feature Anna Ben and Tovino Thomas in lead roles. Santhosh T Kuruvila, Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal are jointly producing the film.
The actors also uploaded the film’s poster on their respective social media handles.
Tovino and Aashiq worked together for the 2013 film Mayaanadhi.
According to a report by The Times of India, a source said the film will be a thriller.
“The film belongs to the genre of thriller. The shoot should commence by the end of December, and the rest of the cast, other than Tovino and Anna Ben, should be finalised by the first week of November,” the source told the daily.
Unni R has penned the script and is his first collaboration with the director. Music is being given by DJ Sekhar Menon.
Aashiq Abu directed the 2020 comedy Halal Love Story, which released on Amazon Prime earlier this month. He also helmed Virus, which released last year.
The National Award-winning director also announced another project a few months back- Vaariyumkunnan, a period film. The film revolves around the life of Variyan Kunnathu Kunjahammed Haji, who established a parallel government to fight the British regime during the 1921 Malabar rebellion.

For Anna Ben, this is first film announcement after she won a Special Mention at the Kerala State Film Awards last week for her performance in the survival thriller film Helen. She was last seen in the 2020 Netflix original film Kappela.
Tovino Thomas was last seen in the 2020 release Forensic. His next film Kilometres and Kilometres, was premiered on Asianet television channel. His upcoming films include Minnal Murali, Kala, and Kaane Kaane.
