Rakul Preet Singh, who had been signed on as the female lead in Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan is not a part of the film anymore, due to schedule issues. She has been now replaced by Anu Emmanuel in the upcoming movie, which has Vishal in the lead role.
A source close to the actress confirmed the actress’ induction in the project. “Although she has not signed the film officially, the discussions were positive and she will most likely be a part of the project,” said the source.
Anu Emmanuel is the daughter of Malayalam film producer Thankachan Emmanuel. Her first film as a lead actress was in Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju which released early this year. She also acted in the Telugu film Majnu opposite Nani, which released in September. She is also currently working on two other Telugu films – Oxygen with Gopichand and Beware of Kittu opposite Raj Tarun.

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Simgh is currently shooting for Mahesh Babu’s bilingual film directed by AR Murugadoss. Apart from this, she also has a couple of Telugu films and a Hindi film in the pipeline.
Thupparivaalan has a star cast that includes Akshara Haasan, Prasanna and K Bhagyaraj in supporting roles. The shooting of the film began in September. The action-thriller has Vishal essaying the role of an investigator.Shot mostly in Chennai, the film will have music composed by Arrol Corelli, who debuted as a music director through Mysskin’s 2015 film Pissaasu.
