Following Shamlee’s backing out of Dhanush-Durai Sendhilkumar’s Kodi, it has now been confirmed that Anupama Parameswaran will be playing the female lead in the film. Reportedly, Shamlee exited the project due to date issues. The makers have brought Anupama as her replacement, and she’s expected to join the sets next week. Shamlee had shot for a few portions in the film before opting out of it.
Directed by Durai Senthilkumar, Kodi is a political thriller with Dhanush essaying dual roles for the first time. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan and SA Chandrasekhar in pivotal roles. Santhosh Narayanan will be composing the tunes for the first time and the film will be bankrolled by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.
