Over the last few weeks there have been murmurs of distributors of Rajinikanth’s Darbar trying to speak to the actor about their losses. A video that did the rounds on social media showed distributors in a war of words with the police who stopped them from meeting him in his Poes Garden residence.

Neither team Darbar nor Rajinikanth acknowledged these. In fact, just a few days ago, a Twitter trend on Darbar being a hit was also done, with the #25DaysOfBlockBusterDARBAR.

Today, the film’s director AR Murugadoss has knocked the Madras High Court’s doors for protection.
The director has sought protection from the film’s distributors who he claims are disturbing him for losses incurred due to Darbar.
