Director AR Murugadoss will write the Tamil script for Marvel studios’ Avengers: Endgame, which releases on April 26 this year. The director, who is busy with pre-production work for Rajinikanth’s next, said that he was excited about the project. This is Marvel studios’ 22nd film, and it’s a sequel of last year’s Avengers: Infinity War.
A press statement from Marvel India confirmed that they were associating with the award winning director to present their movie in the regional language. This is a big recognition for AR Murugadoss who has made action thrillers like Kaththi, Thuppaki, and the recent political drama Sarkar starring actor Vijay.
According to an IANS report, the director said in a statement, “I have always admired the story, spectacle and scale that Marvel brings to its movies, and Avengers: Endgame is going to be one such powerhouse of a film that has the whole country excited.” He also thanked his son Adithya for being a fan of the series which made him even more thrilled about the project. “I am thrilled to be a part of this phenomenon which brings together a galaxy of powerful characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and more. I have tried to bring in an interesting local flavour to the movie without compromising on the original thought and certainly hope that fans will look forward to watching the Tamil version of the film,” he said.
