AR Rahman is composing music for Pele, a biopic of the Brazilian football legend. Directed by Michael and Jeff Zimbalist, the film has a strong team of actors and technicians. We hear that ARR was offered the opportunity to compose for the film when the directors heard of his Grammy and Oscar wins. And, it looks like Rahman is enjoying the experience too, for he recently tweeted a picture of himself with Brazilian singer Anna Beatriz and said that he was ‘thrilled’ to be working on the project.

AR Rahman has several films lined up this year. After Lingaa and I, the Oscar winner’s music will be heard in Paani, the animated musical Bollywood Superstar Monkey and also in the Majid Majidi film. His music for I releases tomorrow, and he’s expected to be a part of the grand audio launch.
