Aranmanai 2, directed by Sundar C, has entered the Limca Book of Records, for having the biggest ever statue erected for a film. According to the film’s publicist, the 103 feet statue of Amman (Goddess Kali) will be used in an integral sequence in the film. The filmmakers had already built a palatial set in Chennai for the film at an estimated cost of Rs.1 crore. The first look of Aranmanai 2 was released on August 15 as a part of the Independence Day celebration. Shooting of the film is in its final stages in the city.
Aranmanai 2 stars Siddharth, Hansika, Trisha, Poonam Bajwa, Soori, Kovai Sarala, Manobala and Aadukalam Naren. This is also Trisha’s 51st film. Produced by Avni Cine Max, Aranmanai 2 has music scored by Hip Hop artist Thamizha Aadhi.
