Arjun Kapoor And Rakul Preet Singh To Resume Filming For Their Untitled With Debutant Kaashvie Nair

Actors Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh will resume filming for their untitled film with debutant Kaashvie Nair next week. The cross-border love story is being jointly bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under their T-Series banner, Monisha AdvaniMadhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani under their Emmay Entertainment banner, and by John Abraham under his JA Entertainment banner.

The team had reportedly completed filming prior to the lockdown barring a fortnight’s work. They will now resume at Film City Studios from Monday for a 10-day schedule followed by a 4-day schedule at the end of September while adhering to the safety guidelines laid down by the government and taking necessary precautions.

Emmay Entertainment took to Twitter to announce the news.

Speaking about the same, Nikkhil Advani told Mumbai Mirror, “Kaashvie, John, Bhushanji, and my team have worked hard to make sure that all actors are safe and comfortable. We’ve taken them through all the safety protocols certified by the state government through the Film’s Producers Guild. It will be a 10-day shoot with the entire cast. After this, we will be left with a four-day schedule, which will happen after the rains, around September end. We had initially planned to film from March 21 to the beginning of April, but the lockdown hit that plan for a six.”

John Abraham who is also doing a cameo in the film will be joining the sets. Speaking about the same, the actor told the daily, “We’ve all come together with the intent to bring forth fresh talent and curated scripts to the screen. We have waited to ensure the unit is adequately secured given the situation and we’re looking forward to resuming the shoot.”

The untitled is reportedly one of the first films to shoot with veteran actors like Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh who have insisted to be on sets after slamming the government order which prohibited those artists above the age of 65 to shoot for films and television.

“It is a coming-of-age, cross-border love story, beautifully written by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal, and Kaashvie. It will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles and will feature Arjun and Rakul in never-seen-before avatars,” said Nikkhil earlier in a statement.

While the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be unveiled, Mahendra J Shetty is handling cinematography.
