Arjun Won’t Be Playing Villain

Arjun has refuted recent reports claiming that he will be playing a negative character in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film. “I played the villain in Kadal only on Mani Ratnam’s request. There is no truth in these rumours that say that I’m taking on negative roles as well. While it is true that I have not signed fresh films yet, it is only because I’m very busy with other projects.”

Arjun is currently working on Jai Hind 2, which sees him don the director’s hat for the eleventh time. The film is a bilingual, and will be released in Kannada as Abhimanyu. Surveen Chawla of Hate Story 2 fame plays the lead role while Charlotte Claire, a model, makes her Tamil debut with this film. Following this, Arjun will kickstart a project with his actress daughter Aishwarya Arjun in the lead. He has already zeroed in on the perfect script for her and plans to begin filming once the post production work on Jai Hind 2 is over.

The film’s music, composed by Arjun Janya, was launched recently, where the family of fallen hero Major Mukund Varadarajan were the special guests at the event.

The release date will be announced soon.
