Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to play the villain in director Shankar’s Endhiran 2. Shankar had initially wanted Hindi actor Aamir Khan for the role, but the latter wasn’t available. While there has been no official confirmation on Schwarzenegger’s inclusion, he is likely to be in India for 25 days to shoot his scenes.
Schwarzenegger had earlier presided over the audio launch for Shankar’s film I, and the two share a good rapport. During the event, Schwarzenegger had expressed an interest in acting in Tamil films. He had also been impressed with Endhiran 2’s script.
Endhiran was Tamil cinema’s most expensive movie, and starred Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Karunas. Rajinikanth will begin shooting for Endhiran 2 after completing his yet-untitled movie with director Pa Ranjith, of Madras fame.
