Writer Aru. Nagappan, a friend of actor Kamal Haasan’s father, has done a cameo in Uttama Villain. Kamal will have a Kovai accent in the film and Nagappan was initially approached to help the actor get the dialect right. But the writer was eventually roped to play a small role in the film. Nagappan shot for fifteen days for his role in the film and says the experience was very good. “I have known Kamal since he was a very young child. I have worked with his father Seenivasa Iyengar to collect funds for various initiatives and that’s how I know the family. I was asked to help Kamal with the Kovai dialect but after a while, he offered me the role.”
Uttama Villain stars Kamal Haasan in the lead while actresses Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah play the female leads. Veteran director K Balachander is part of this movie alongside K Vishwanath. Ghibran has scored the music for this film.
