Actor Arun Vijay took to Twitter today to announce his new project, Boxer, by debutant director Vivek. The movie will be produced by V. Mathiyalagan under the banner of Etcetra Films.

Talking to Silverscreen about Boxer, Arun Vijay said he had been waiting to read the script for a long time. “It is a sports-based film – both emotional and inspirational at the same time. The script demands physical and mental preparation, which I will begin shortly,” he said.
Other cast members for the movie are yet to be finalised. Leon James, of Kavalai Vendaam fame, will compose music for the film, and Markus will be the director of photography. Madan has been roped in for editing, and Balachandar is the art director. Arun Vijay also said that the film is in its pre-production stage, and shooting is expected to begin by March end.
