Ashna Zaveri’s next is a horror film named Nagesh Thirayarangam. The actress plays a struggling bookseller in the film.
“I play the role of a book seller who finds it hard to make ends meet, while Aari plays a real estate broker. The horror track plays parallelly and when it crosses their lives, everything goes for a toss and that forms the rest of the story,” she told Deccan Chronicle.
The actress, who has mostly worked in films of the romantic-comedy genre, is also in a fantasy film alongside Nakul. Titled Brahma.com, she plays a model in the film.
Last seen in Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum, the actress believes that signing a film is more than its budget or the stars in the film. “The script and the weightage to the character make a difference. Every movie has taught me something more about cinema, and I now have a better understanding of the art. Also, I have been improving on Tamil, and now it has become like my second language,” she said.
Nagesh Thirayarangam is directed by Mohammed Issack, starring Aari and Ashna Zaveri in lead roles. ’70s heroine Latha and senior actress Sithara play important roles.
