Atharvaa will play a college student in a new film Othaikku Othai. The film’s director Barnesh told Deccan Chronicle that the film was inspired by incidents in his life. He said, “Atharvaa plays a UG student and the movie revolves around two students and their ego clash. Like any other film set in the backdrop of a college, the film has commercial elements like love, friendship, and humor. The film is inspired from my real life incidents.”
Atharvaa has undergone a makeover for the film and the director is confident that it will surprise viewers. Barnesh said, “He has shed a few kilos and he sports a new hairstyle. You will see an all new Atharvaa.”

The team is still looking for a suitable female lead. “In the film, the heroine belongs to a Christian community. I need someone who suits the role,” he said. It is unclear what Barnesh meant by a suitable actress to play a Christian, as Christians have been known to appear in all shapes and sizes.
Barnesh, an associate of Pa Ranjith, makes his debut with this project. Atharvaa home production Semma Bodha Aagathey is up for release soon.
