According to a report by The Times of India, the trailer would be released by singer and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The film, directed by R Kannan, will also feature Amitash Pradhan, who rose to fame with Vaanum Kottatum.
The film is the Tamil remake of the 2017 hit Telugu film Ninnu Kori, starring Nani, Nivetha Thomas Aadhi Pinisetty among the others. Ninnu Kori is will also be remade in Marathi and will be directed by Mansi Bagla. Ninnu Kori tells the story of a couple whose life gets disrupted when a ghost surfaces.
The first look of the poster was released in February. The cast lineup includes Naren, Jagan, Kaali Venkat and Vidyullekha Raman among the others.
Music has been composed by Gopi Sunder, who also scored the music for Ninnu Kori. The film is produced by R Kannan along with MK Ramprasad’s MKRP Productions while Shanmuga Sundaram is handling cinematography.
This is Atharvaa’s second collaboration with director R Kannan, after the duo’s 2019 release Boomerang. He was last seen last year in Gaddalakonda Ganesh, the same year which marked his Telugu debut. Atharvaa’s kitty is filled with films including Kuruthi Aattam, Othaikku Othai, and Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu. Anupama Parameswaran, who made her debut in hit Malayalam film Premam alongside Nivin Pauly, was last seen in Maniyarayile Ashokan which premiered directly on Netflix recently.
