Actor Arun Vijay is shooting for his upcoming Tamil film directed by filmmaker Hari, tentatively called AV33, in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. The actor revealed this and shared a few pictures from the sets on Twitter on Monday.
Calling AV33 a ‘rural script’, he wrote, “Working on a rural script after ages with the magic-makers! Director Hari sir tops it off. Electrifying schedules ahead.”
Later in the day, actor Radhika Sarathkumar tweeted a picture of herself with Arun and Hari on the sets, and wrote that it was nice to work with the “energetic” director.
Produced by Drumstick Productions, the film also features actor Priya Bhavani Shankar, who has previously shared the screen space with Arun in the Karthick Naren directorial Mafia: Chapter 1 in 2020.
Other cast members of AV33, which will have music by GV Prakash and editing by Anthony, include Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Ammu Abhirami, among others.
It is notable that the upcoming film marks the first collaboration of Arun with director Hari, who is also his brother-in-law.
In March, the makers had officially launched the film and the team began shooting in Palani in Tamil Nadu. However, the filming was halted shortly thereafter when the director complained of fever. He was admitted to a private hospital, but did not test positive for Covid-19. The shooting was later resumed in Palani in April.
On July 29, Ammu Abhirami announced that her schedule is set to begin the next day.

Meanwhile, Arun has a handful of other projects lined up. He will be featuring in one of the four upcoming films under Suriya’s 2D banner that are set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video — Oh my doG — alongside his son Arnav Vijay. The film is scheduled for release in December. He also has the films Sinam and Borrder in different stages of production.
