The chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, was at the receiving end of a massive Twitter outrage by fans of Telugu actor Balakrishna.
The businessman responded to a tweet which had a clip from Balakrishna’s recent film Jai Simha. The scene has the actor lifting a Mahindra Bolero all on his own. Finding it hilarious, Mahindra tweeted: “Haha. Now all our service workshops won’t need any hydraulic lifts anymore to do Bolero check-ups!!”

The video has since been removed, but the backlash has been massive. Fans of the actor have tweeted out to Mahindra, belittling him and his business and asking him to stick to his profession instead of tweeting these videos. The hashtag #BoycottMahindra was also trending for sometime.
Sir I never expected such a big personality reacting to some movie trolls you lost your respect, BTW Balakrishna is not only hero and ,MLA, he runs cancer hospital which is in 2nd place in India and offers free treatment for poor
& creates awareness campaigns for breast cancer.— Premkumar (@premkumargajja) January 16, 2018
Sir, I think you should concentrate on designing atleast better looking cars first.

Sir these comments doesn’t fit your stature about #Balakrishna ! It’s just a movie ! Look at your ads about all Mahindra vehicles !!
He has huge fan base in rural areas and hurting them only impact especially your rural business around #Bolero !!— MK (@MKNagavarapu) January 17, 2018
Instead of reacting to some useless fans trolling.. Please concentrate on your useless service workshops and improve service to your customers…Don’t degerade your post by involving yourself in these fans fights.. so pity on you ???

Really Mahindra people are doing silly things. Please behave like professionals.

That is your current situation in the market … I expected a CEO to read that instead of making fun of yourself !!… I would have felt bad for disrespecting the product ….But ur reaction is otherwise… Good luck.. pic.twitter.com/SKRu9sJON8
