The first look of Bala’s new film with Jyothika and GV Prakash was revealed recently by Bala’s protege, Suriya, on Twitter. A woman-centric film, the 39-year-old actress will reportedly play a ‘tough character’.

The second look was tweeted by GV Prakash, where Jyothika can be seen giving a baby a bath while he sits next to her chewing on a neem stick.

Naachiyar will be jointly bankrolled by Bala’s home production banner, B Studios, along with EON Studios. Jyothika is currently finishing up her upcoming film Magalir Mattum, bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. Soon after that, she’ll begin work on Bala’s project.
Incidentally, Magalir Mattum is also a women-centric film starring veterans like Saranya, Bhanupriya, Urvashi, and Nasser.
GV Prakash, on the other hand, has two other projects lined up – 4G and Ayngaran. This film marks his second collaboration with Bala, having previously worked as music director for his film Paradesi in 2013.
