Bappi Lahiri feels that there is no point in being angry with Karan Johar. The director had made fun of Lahiri in his latest release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In one scene in the film, Ranbir changes the lyrics of Bappi’s hit song ‘Taaki O Taaki’ to Tacky O Tacky.
Lahiri said that the “makers don’t know anything about music” and doesn’t want to even acknowledge their comments.
“Bura kyu lagega. Main hun kaun bura manne wala? ( Why will I be feel bad? Who am I to feel bad),” Lahiri said. “The makers openly disrespected Rafi Sahab, who is considered a god in the industry. I am nothing compared to him. It’s pretty clear that these people don’t know anything about music, so you can’t be upset with such people.”
The composer’s son, Bappa Lahiri, had earlier demanded an apology from Johar over his insensitive comments. But, Bappi remains unfazed.
“There’s nothing to say. It’s clear that they can’t respect their seniors or their work. If they can be so insensitive, being upset with them is of no use.”
