Actors Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are set to star in filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s next, titled Bawaal. Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house Nadiadwala Grandson took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce the project.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on April 7, 2023. Touted to be a love story, Bawaal will see Kapoor and Dhawan collaborating together for the first time. Both actors also took to their respective social media accounts and announced the project.
The makers are yet to reveal further details about the cast and crew.
Meanwhile, Kapoor will next be seen leading the film Good Luck Jerry. Directed by Sidharth Sengupta, it is the Hindi remake of the 2018 Tamil black comedy Kolamaavu Kokila. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh.
Aside from this, the actor will be seen in Mr And Mrs Mahi alongside Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the sports drama is set to hit theatres on October 7, 2022.
She is also headlining Mili, which is a remake of the Malayalam film Helen. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Mathukutty Xavier, who also co-wrote and directed Helen. It has actor Manoj Pahwa essaying Mili’s father, while Sunny Kaushal is reprising Noble Babu Thomas’ role from the original film.
On the other hand, Dhawan will be seen next in Bhediya with Kriti Sanon. The horror-comedy is directed by Amar Kaushik. He also has Jug Jugg Jeeyo, alongside Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor, coming up. Both films are slated to release this year. Further, the actor is reportedly set to make his OTT debut next year.
