Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar announced that his latest film Taish, starring Jim Sarbh, Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat will premiere on Zee5 on October 29, both as a feature film as well as a six-episode series.
The first look of the film was released on Monday. The film’s shooting was kicked off more than a year ago and was completed a few months ago. Initially slated for a theatrical release, the film’s release was stalled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is Nambiar’s fifth directorial venture.
According to a PTI report, Taish is a revenge drama that surrounds two families, particularly one defining incident.
“It is a revenge drama that surrounds two families and an incident that ignites a storm. With love and revenge as a strong motif, the story will take you through an emotional wild ride. This has been a passion project from the word go and I really hope the audience will acknowledge our labour of hard work,” Nambiar said in a statement.
Nambiar, who has directed films such as the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Solo and Shaitan (starring Kalki Koechlin), took to social media to make the announcement.

Pulkit Samrat, who has appeared in films such as Fukrey and Veerey Ki Wedding, also made the announcement on social media.
Jim Sarbh, who has appeared in Sanju, Amazon Prime Video’s Made In Heaven and Netflix’s House Arrest, described the movie as a “thrilling investigation of male relationships” in his statement.
Talking about the film; Kriti Kharbanda, who has appeared in films like Housefull 4, Pagalpanti and Veerey Ki Wedding said: “Relationships will be tested and trust will be broken.”
The film also stars Harshvardhan Rane, who has appeared in films such as Sanam Teri Kasam and Paltan.
