Bhanu Sri Mehta, who rose to fame with the Telugu flick Varadu, will soon debut as a heroine in Tamil. A press release issued by the actress’s publicist says that she will star in an upcoming movie, which would see Bharath playing the male lead.
While the press release declares that Bhanu Sri is debuting in Tamil with this movie, she had, in fact, done supporting roles in director Chaplin’s box-office disaster Udhayan, starring Arulnidhi and Pranitha in the lead, and also in Vizhi Moodi Yosithal.
Reportedly, Bhanu Sri will be essaying the role of news reader in the Bharath-starrer, the shooting of which will begin soon. Sources tell Silverscreen that the movie has been titled Simba, but official confirmation is still awaited.
Bhanu Sri Mehra has previously acted in Punjabi and Telugu movies like Bachna Haseeno, Govindudu Andarivadale and Brother of Bommali.
