Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Kartik Aaryan Tests Positive For Covid-19, Director Anees Bazmee and Co Star Kiara Advani Test Negative

Kartik Aaryan, the Hindi actor who had been shooting his film Bhool Bulaiyaa 2, announced on Instagram on Tuesday that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and asked his fans to wish for his recovery.

Other cast members of Bhool Bulaiyaa 2, including Kiara Advani and Tabu, had to take a Covid-19 test along with the film’s director Anees Bazmee reportedly after Aaryan tested positive for the virus.

Bazmee told Silverscreen India that he has tested negative and said that he was ” feeling fantastic”.

Bazmee’s manager, Kapil, told Silverscreen India that Advani has also tested negative but the film’s shooting may resume after a while.

There has been no confirmation yet regarding Tabu’s test results.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘s shoot had recently kicked off. Aaryan had posted a picture from the set on March 15 mentioning that Tabu was bringing her personal bio-bubble to shoot to ensure safety on set.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the 2007 Hindi film starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a remake of Manichitrathazhu (1993), the Malayalam supernatural, psychological thriller film.

Written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Rajpal Yadav and Govind Namdev as supporting cast. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under their banner T-Series and Murad Khetani of Cine 1 Studios.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which will release on November 19, went on floors in 2020 before the Covid-19 induced lockdown was announced.

Recently, Maharashtra saw a sudden spike in the number of Covid-19 cases. According to the data provided by the state health department, the number of cases now stands at 25,33,026. During the month, actors Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, have tested positive for Covid-19.
