This was perhaps expected, but the numbers are still astounding. In the four days since it opened, Baahubali, The Conclusion has not only become the highest grossing film in India, it has also set records in the US, the UK, Australia, the Gulf, and pretty much every place you can think of.
According to BoxOfficeIndia, “The Overseas figures are conservative estimates as the Telugu and Tamil versions are playing on hire at many places at double or treble the normal ticket rates and this is not reported. The business in US / Canada, Gulf and Australia has smashed all records. If we include the hire centres, US / Canada will be around $11 million which is almost the lifetime of Dangal in just three days.”
On comScore rankings, Baahubali 2 is already #3 for domestic (US) earnings, with a weekend total revenue of over USD 10 million. Above it are How To Be A Latin Lover, and Fate Of The Furious. The two films have been longer in the reckoning, and have more screens across the US. This means that Baahubali has earned more in a shorter time, from fewer theatres.

In all, Baahubali 2 has earned Rs 506 Crores (according to BOI) in the three days, not counting previews and private screenings around the world.
BOI hasn’t yet updated its Top Grossers in India list, for it still shows Dangal on top at INR 4 Crore. It’s a pity that BOI seems to track only Hindi films.
