Actor Anupama Parameswaran, who was last seen in the Telugu film Rowdy Boys (2022), announced her next film Butterfly, an emotional thriller.
Ghanta Satish Babu who will be making his directorial debut with this Telugu film said to Silverscreen India that he has written the screenplay and the story of Butterfly too. He added that the film will be produced by Gen Next Movies Banner. The makers released the first look poster of the film on Friday which coincidenced with actor Anupama’s birthday.
Speaking about the film, the director said, “The plot will centre around a kidnap. When you are in need, people often show their true colours. That is what the film is about. Anupama plays a junior chartered account. The title is named, suggesting ‘metamorphosis’- where a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.”
The film went on floors in December 2021 and wrapped up in February earlier this year. It was shot by cinematographer Sameer Reddy in Hyderabad. Madho is the editor.
Apart from Anupama, the film also those including Bhumika Chawla and Rao Ramesh, in pivotal roles.
Arviz has composed the songs, while the background score Bideon Katta has scored the background music. There are three songs in the film.
The shooting of Butterfly has reached conclusion and the film is currently in its post-production stage. Dubbing is underway too.

According to the director, the team is looking for a theatrical release sometime in March. After Butterfly, Sathish Babu reveals that he will be working on a film that will be backed by producer Dil Raju. However, the genre is yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Anupama is awaiting the release of her Telugu film 18 Pages and is part of Karthikeya 2, helmed by Chandoo Mondeti, which is in its final stages of shooting.
