Balaji Tharaneetharan is now on the lookout for a young actress to play the lead in his Oru Pakka Kathai. The director does not want an established actress to essay the role as the script demands a new face. “Ideally, I want someone between the ages of 16-20 to play the role. We’ve begun casting for it, and as soon as we zero in on the actress, we’ll start filming”. The script is ready, and the director plans to shoot the film in and around Chennai.
The movie, billed as a family drama, marks the debut of Kalidas, son of actor Jayaram. The project was launched last week in the presence of Kamal Haasan and several important producers from the industry. Vasan Visual Ventures is producing this film while Govind Menon makes his composing debut in Tamil.
