A flurry of celebrities shared their sadness at the passing of TN CM Jayalalitha. The actress-turned-politican succumbed to her illness at a private hospital in Chennai late on December 5, 2016. She was 68.

Jayalalitha’s body will be kept at Rajaji Hall in Chennai so that people can pay their last respects. A seven day mourning period has been announced, following which Jayalalitha will be cremated with State honours.
