The teaser and posters introducing the main characters of director Surender Reddy’s mega-budget Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy are out. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the lead, with Kiccha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, and Anushka Shetty in important roles, and Amitabh Bachchan in a guest appearance. Production is by actor Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s son, under Konidela Production Company.
Posters of the cast were released ahead of the grand teaser launch organised today. It revealed Chiranjeevi’s role as Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the Kurnool-based freedom fighter on whose life the film is based.

The film has grand sets and is reportedly set in Reenaadu village in Andhra Pradesh. The teaser, with the voice over of Pawan Kalyan, introduces Narasimha Reddy as a forgotten warrior and the first rebel who led the peasant uprising in Kurnool much before the 1857 rebellion. Chiranjeevi takes centre stage and calls out to his soldiers to prepare for a long battle. The teaser is high on action sequences and also gives a glimpse of the other stars, including Vijay Sethupathi, who is making his Telugu debut with the film, and Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara and Tammannah.
The film has music by Amit Trivedi and stunt sequences choreographed by Hollywood stuntmen Lee Withaker and George Powell. The VFX is by Kamal Kannan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
The film has been under production since September 2017. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 150 crores, it releases in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on October 2. Reports also say Rajinikanth and Mohanlal have lent voice to Chiranjeevi’s character, but this has not been confirmed.
