Actress Sanya Malhotra, who shot to fame with her performance as wrestler Babita Phogat in the 2016 blockbuster Dangal, is being considered for Manmarziyan, reported Deccan Chronicle. According to the report, a source close to the film said, “Sanya is being seriously considered for Manmarziyan. The makers are yet to narrate the script to Sanya, but there’s little reason for her to turn it down.” Acting alongside Fatima Sana Sheikh in the Aamir Khan film, Sanya Malhotra garnered acclaim from cinema goers and critics alike.
Manmarziyaan has transitioned to a completely the cast and crew since its announcement. Ayushmann Khuranna and Bhumi Padnekar were supposed to be seen playing the main leads. Luv Shuv Chicken Khuranna director Sameer Sharma had been roped in for direction and later, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari came on board.
The latest reports state that Anurag Kashyap will be directing the project and Anand L Rai will be bankrolling the project.
