Daniel Balaji will play one of the bad guys in Bairavaa. The actor spoke about his experience of working with the film’s male lead, Vijay, in a recent interview.
“While shooting for Bairavaa, it was surprising to see how Vijay cared for every team member. He would encourage everyone on the sets. In the film, I play a henchman to Jagapathi Babu and will be sporting a beard. I still have three scenes left to be shot, out of which, one is with Vijay and the other with Jagapathi Babu,” he said.
The Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu actor also talked about his great rapport with director Gautham Menon. “I used to be part of the production team when Minnale was shot. Then, I got a role in Kaakha Kaakha. One day, Gautham casually called me and said that he would need me for three scenes in the film, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamayada and its Telugu version. A simple phone call and I obliged,” he added.
The actor is now shooting for Gaurav Narayanan’s untitled film and Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai.
Daniel also revealed that he will be sporting an 80’s get-up in Vada Chennai and that the first schedule has been completed.
Daniel Balaji made his way into the spotlight through films like Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyadu. But he did not manage to make his presence felt in Tamil movies after his role in Polladhavan. He made a comeback of sorts through Aishwarya Dhanush’s Vai Raja Vai which released last year.
He will also be seen playing integral roles in Gautham Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, C V Kumar’s Maayavan and Ultaa.
