The actress’ bridal outfit sparked a flurry of questions about her wedding plans and she said, “There’s no such plan anytime soon. I’m not pregnant, I’m not having a baby, I’m not engaged and I’m not married. And I’m not even planning to get married anytime soon.”
In contrast, Fawad Khan, another showstopper for the event, was asked about his ramp walk debut. Media speculation on the personal lives of female celebrities is not new. Women in the spotlight are subject to biased standards of scrutiny as opposed to men and are frequently forced to answer questions about relationships, breakups, and pregnancies, while the men get to speak about work. Despite starring in a Hollywood film, and fronting several successful Bollywood productions, Deepika is not exempt from this biased media gaze.
