“Unlike in other films, the character isn’t forced into prostitution due to poverty. She is doing it for other reasons, and that will be major hook of the film” the director told Silverscreen.in. He added that he chose to make a short film as finding a producer for a feature film based on a content as bold as this, would be real hard.

The script of the film has already been sent to a few international film festivals where the film would be screened after it is ready.

Previously, Anandmurthy has directed Dhileepan, a Tamil feature film based on the life of Srilankan Tamil rights activist Dhileepan. The film is yet to release.

Dhansika , who made her debut through Peranmai in 2009, will next be seen in Rajinikanth’s Kabali.
