Soundarya Rajinikanth was involved in an automobile accident earlier this week. According to reports, Soundarya’s vehicle rammed into a stationary auto rickshaw in Alwarpet, Chennai. The auto driver, Mani, was hurt and had to be given medical treatment.
A source tells Silverscreen that the auto driver was promised money in exchange for not going to the police and escalating the issue. Thus far, a complaint with the police has not been filed.
Silverscreen made several attempts to get in touch with Mani. On one occasion, Mani said, “I was sleeping inside the auto when the accident happened. My auto was parked near the side of the road and was not on the road. I am in hospital now getting medical treatment. Please call me later.”

Actor Dhanush, who was due to appear before the Madras High Court, spoke to Mani and assured him that he would take care of all his medical expenses. Furthermore, Mani has been told that his auto will be repaired to his satisfaction, and that all the expenses will be borne by Dhanush.
Further attempts to get in touch with the driver were not fruitful.
Meanwhile, a representative of Soundarya Rajinikanth continues to feign ignorance over the accident. The spokesperson denies all reports of such an event.
