Dhanush Takes Part In Simbu’s Birthday Celebrations

Dhanush and Simbu at the Sakka Podu Podu Raja Audio Launch

Putting to rest the buzz that Simbu and Dhanush don’t share a good rapport due to personal reasons, actor Dhanush recently participated in Silambarasan aka Simbu’s birthday celebrations. Simbu turned 36 on February 3.

A video of Dhanush standing beside Simbu while cutting the cake, and Simbu feeding him the cake, has gone viral on social media. This comes as a justification that the actors don’t have any enmity, and share love and support for each other during their film releases. The birthday celebration also had Jayam Ravi, Yuvan Shankar Raja and many others participating.

Earlier, when the Dhanush-starrer Vada Chennai was being made, director Vetrimaaran had asked Dhanush to do a different role because the protagonist Anbu’s character was initially planned for Simbu. Dhanush later said in a statement, “I told him that I am generous but I don’t have such generosity to play that role.”

This created more spark and lead to a social media war among fans of the actors. It was also said that they had personal issues and some enmity, and didn’t get along well with each other. However, Simbu’s birthday celebration video has put their relationship speculations to rest.

Menawhile, many other celebrities also wished Simbu on their twitter handles, and conveyed their love for the actor.

Some crazy wishes from his fans also poured in, with a few of them doing paal abishegam to his banners, as he had asked for and later denied during the release of his latest Vantha Raajavathaan Varuven.

Simbu’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, directed by Sundar C, starred Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa in the lead. It released on February 1, ahead of the actor’s birthday. Currently, he is working on Maanadu, a political drama directed by Venkat Prabhu. He will also be seen in a yet-to-be titled film with director Gautham Menon, which has music by AR Rahman, and another film with director Karthik Naren.
