Director and actor Balu Anand passed away early this morning at his residence at Coimbatore. He was 61. The cause of death was a heart attack.
Mr Anand, who directed the 1988 film Annanagar Mudhal Theru, was best known for his roles in Anbe Sivam and Pistha. He was also associated with Coimbatore’s KGF Cinema Association Movie and TV awards. , director of the Tamil film Annanagar Mudhal Theru, He last directed Anandha Thollai (2014), which starred Dr Srinivasan.
