Telugu film director Ajay Koundinya, at the audio launch of NH 47 Bhoot Bangla, made lewd remarks against YSRCP MLA Roja, saying that if she agrees, he would make God, Sex, And Truth 2, a film that Ram Gopal Varma recently made starring adult film star Mia Malkova.
The video that has been doing the rounds shows Koundinya ranting for nearly two and half minutes about the plight of technicians in the industry, and how Roja never supported them. “If even one politician gets caught in a controversy, all leaders will come forward to support them. But Roja has not been able to do anything when there was a drug bust in the Telugu film industry. It would have been super if Ram Gopal Varma cast her in God, Sex, And Truth,” he says, adding that he would make the sequel of the film with her.
His was booked by the police for his comments. According to The News Minute, the Banjara Hills police have registered a case under Sections 354 (Sexual harassment) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
Reacting to the issue, Ram Gopal Varma lauded the anchors of Mahaa News for calling out Koundinya’s speech, which resulted in him apologising on the news segment.
Kudos to girl who walked off next to that Ajay fellow in #mahaanews ,Kudos to woman anchor and many kudos to Anchor Murthy for the anger he felt .The Ajay guy is a symbol of uppermost regressiveness for his disrespect towards women ..watch from 21.00https://t.co/nf6nsZv6ep

The particular truth behind the gross generalisation of the casting couch is fellows like Ajay who come into industry thinking about women only in that way ..Am shocked at his such shameful thinking and I applaud #mahaanews for putting a spotlight on him https://t.co/nf6nsZv6ep
