Director Mahendran To Play Udhayanidhi’s Father In ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’ Remake

Director J Mahendran is all set to play Udhayanidhi Stalin’s father in the Tamil remake of Maheshinte Prathikaram, directed by Priyadarshan. According to The Times of India, the director-actor’s role in the film is a positive and substantial one this time.

The 78-year-old director, who has only appeared on screen twice – in Kamaraj (2004) and Theri (2016) – has already begun shooting for his portions. The shooting is taking place in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. 

The film went on floors on July 10, after it was officially launched at Four Frames Studios in Chennai.

Udhayanidhi will be reprising Fahadh Faasil’s role in the remake and will act alongside actors Namitha Pramod and Parvathi Nair. Samuthirakani has written the dialogues for the film. He also has an important role in the movie.

Other members of the cast include actors Karunakaran and MS Bhaskar.

Darbuka Siva has been roped in to compose the music.

Udhayanidhi and team began shooting for the film in Kuttralam and Thenkasi. It is expected that the film will be completed by the end of this year.
